The Gambia National Library Services Authority (GNLSA) has inaugurated a digital research center at its Brikama branch library this weekend.
The center is now equipped with 50 laptop computers, two air conditioners, a work station, with several desks and chairs, giving the library all the technical facilties needed for research work and studying.

Funded by a Brikama citizen and her husband philanthropist, the initiative is meant to strengthen access to the library for researchers, students and members of the community in this digital age.
GNLSA offcilas said they are still looking for ways to improve the facilities of the library as they remain committed to “empowering minds through knowledge” slogan.
Present athe inauguration were officlas from the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, the Governor of West Coast Region, community leaders and other representatives who joined the GNLSA staff at the inauguration of the center.
